What Wix does well
No platform is bad. Wix has delivered a lot for business owners with a Wix site who want to outgrow it, and that deserves to be said.

The subscription never stops
You pay again every year for the same site. After three or four years you've paid Wix more than an owned site would have cost, and you still don't own it.
Copy that all sounds the same
The filled-in example text feels smooth but says little. Visitors notice, and Google certainly does. Strong pages live or die on specific language about your work.
Speed hits a ceiling
The editor loads a lot your page doesn't need. You can optimise, but you can't get out from under the platform's baggage.
Moving means cutting and pasting

Switching from Wix
Can I bring my domain from Wix?
Yes. The domain stays yours. We either move it, or leave it with your current registrar and point it to the new site. Your address doesn't change.
Will I lose my Google rankings when I switch?
Not if it's done properly. I first inventory all your existing pages, rebuild the same topics, and set up redirects from old to new. In practice, rankings usually improve because the site gets faster and the copy sharper.
What happens to my photos and copy?
We pull those from your current site. Photos get proper compression, and I rewrite or rework the copy in consultation with you.
How long does the switch take?
A onepager is live in three to five working days. A full site with around eight pages takes one and a half to two and a half weeks.
