Ordering, paying and delivering without anyone having to step in.
The challenge
Shops selling social media reach nearly all look the same: a dark panel where you first create an account, top up a balance, and only then buy something. So you are asking a customer for trust and for prepayment before they know whether it works.
I wanted to flip that. It had to feel like an ordinary online store: pick what you want, paste your link, pay with iDEAL and done. No account, no balance, and never asking anyone for the password to a social profile, because that is exactly where the rest goes wrong.
The difficulty sits behind it. An order has to pass to the supplier on its own, the status has to come back, the price has to be right in euros while purchasing happens in dollars, and VAT and margin have to stay separate per product. The moment that becomes manual work, it falls over at more than a handful of orders a day.
The approach
Built from scratch again in PHP and MySQL, no framework.
Out front it is a shop. You choose a platform, a service and a quantity, you see the price including VAT straight away, you paste your username or link and you pay. Payment runs through Stripe with iDEAL, Bancontact and card, and crypto is there for anyone who prefers it. You get an order number in your inbox and track the order with that, using your email address as the key. No account, so nothing to forget or leak.
Out back the shop hangs off the supplier's API. A paid order is forwarded automatically, the status is fetched and updated, and a re-order after a drop takes one click. The payment confirmation arrives by webhook, so delivery starts the moment the money is confirmed rather than the moment someone happens to look.
The prices work themselves out. Per product I set a margin that scales with quantity, the purchase rate in dollars is converted to euros, and VAT is always already in what the visitor sees. In the panel I see per order what it earns, with an overview of costs, a VAT breakdown and an export for the accountant.
The brand revolves around Boo, a little ghost who follows you through the site, watches your mouse and says something different on every page. That lightens a subject people are a bit shy about, without making it unserious.
To get found there is a dedicated page per combination of platform and service, a knowledge base, a glossary and a calculator that works out your engagement rate. That last one pulls in people who do not want to buy anything yet, which is exactly the point.
The result
A shop that runs from order to delivery without anyone stepping in. Six platforms, twenty-one dedicated landing pages and eleven knowledge base articles, with a panel where I see per order what has been earned and what is still running.
A customer takes half a minute and never has to hand over a password or create an account.
