The challenge
Many people struggle to keep their finances organised. Existing budgeting apps are often complex, lack automation, or don't offer personalised advice. The challenge was to build a user-friendly finance app that minimises manual entry and actively helps users make better financial decisions.
The approach
The full-stack web application is built with React, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS. The Supabase backend handles authentication, database and real-time functionality. AI integration enables receipt scanning via OCR, along with a personal budget coach. The system processes automatic transactions based on fixed costs and income with working-day calculation. The responsive design with dark/light mode and optimised UX ensures a pleasant user experience. Stripe integration handles premium subscriptions and donations, while household management enables shared finances with partners or family members.
The result
A complete SaaS application that lets users manage their finances with ease. The app offers real-time insight into spending by category, automatic transaction processing, AI-driven receipt recognition and personalised financial advice via an AI coach. With a freemium model (14-day free trial, €10 per month premium), the app is built to scale. People in debt mediation pay just €5.
